VERACRUZ.- El evento de norte provocará en el litoral de Veracruz, el Istmo y el Golfo de Tehuantepec, rachas de viento superiores a los 100 kilómetros por hora, por lo que el Servicio Meteorológico Nacional (SMN) exhorta a la población a tomar las debidas precauciones.
En el municipio de Alvarado, Veracruz, se alcanzó una racha máxima de 121.9 kilómetros esta tarde.
Actualmente, oscilan de 100 a 110 kilómetros por hora y, aunque la tendencia es debilitarse, se mantendrán con intensidades fuertes este jueves.
Cabe destacar que la Secretaría de Protección Civil estatal emitió alerta gris por el paso del frente frío ocho y dicho evento del norte, lo cual causará lluvias, vientos, alto oleaje y descenso de temperatura.
Por efectos del evento de norte, el mar comenzó a entrar a las calles de Boca del Río y en el puerto de Veracruz. Las imágenes fueron compartidas en redes sociales.
En tanto, la Secretaría de Educación de Veracruz informó que se suspenden las clases del turno vespertino de este jueves, en todos los niveles educativos del estado, para salvaguardar la seguridad de la comunidad escolar.
El frente frío ocho se ha extendido desde el Golfo de México, hasta el sur del país, interaccionando con la onda tropical 48, que recorre la Península de Yucatán, ocasionando nublados densos con lluvias puntuales en diversos estados.
La masa de aire polar asociada al frente provocará rachas de viento con posibles tolvaneras y un descenso de la temperatura en gran parte de la República Mexicana, así como posibles heladas en zonas altas del noroeste y norte del país.
